Veterans Memorial Workday on July 20
One of the Albuquerque Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) six purposes of the Chapter is to Support veteran’s memorials and monuments. In keeping with that purpose, MOAA will conduct a work day at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial on Friday the 20th of July. We will be doing work in the area of rose pruning and grounds maintenance. The time will be between the hours of 0830 through 1130.
We will meet at the front of the main entrance of the main building on the Veterans Memorial park. This is close to the corner of Louisiana and Gibson. It would be a good idea to bring pruning shears and some gloves and anything else that you think might be needed. Water will be provided.
In order to be able to plan ahead, the schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows:
Friday August 17
Friday September 21
Friday October 19
The times will be from 0900 to 1200 except for the summer months of June, July and August when the times will be from 0830 to 1130.
