Program 6-7 October 2017

The Don Root Tularosa Basin MOAA Chapter, Military Officers Association of America has prepared the following schedule of events for the NM Council of Chapters Meeting on October 6 and 7, 2017.

If we are going to make the logistics of meetings work smoothly with a minimum of confusion, we need to get an accurate count of the personnel attending each function and types of meals to be served. Please RSVP to Chuck Hartman with your meal choice and the number in your party not later than October 1, 2017.

October 6, Friday

Welcome Social Reception 6:00 – 8:00 PM, The social will be held at Chuck and Vi Hartman’s home, 2463 Desert Hills Dr., Alamogordo (575) 434-2814. The social will be a cookout with the Tularosa Basin Chapter providing:

Bar BQ baby back ribs and potluck side dishes

Beer, wine, and soft drinks

October 7, Saturday

All meetings on Saturday will be held at Peppers Grill

Lunch, 11:30 AM to 2 PM A social will be held from 1130 until 12 o’clock with the meal starting at 12:00.

Tentative Speaker: Yvette Herrell, New Mexico State Representative

Meal choice will be either Chicken Parmesan or Enchiladas.

Cost: $15.00 per person.

Business Meeting, 2:00 until Adjured: Agenda to be provided by separate correspondence.

Dinner, 6:00 to 9:00 PM A social will be held from 6:00 to 6:30 PM with the meal starting at 6:30 PM.

Tentative Speaker: Congressman Steve Pearce

Choice of Grilled Salmon, Jumbo Shrimp, Prime Rib, or Cordon Bleu

Cost: $22.00 per person

 

The order of GUEST SPEAKERS is currently tentative because we have not received a reply from Congressman Pearce confirming the time of his availability. US Congressman Steve Pearce has been given the option to speak at either the noon or the evening event on October 7th.  Representative Herrell has confirmed her availability to speak at either meeting depending on Congressman Pearce’s availability. We will update you on the speakers when we lock down their confirmations.
