MOAA Breakfast Club Speaker: June 26, 2018
=========================================
TOPIC: Everything you ever wanted to know and then some about fountain pens.
SPEAKER: Daniel Pennington, LCDR, USCGR (R)
Have any vintage fountain pens lying around? Ever wonder what makes them valuable? LCDR Daniel Pennington has taken up an interesting career in his post-military retirement years. He has been buying, repairing, and selling fountain pens as his second career. This beautifully designed writing instrument has evolved over the centuries, and is making a comeback with those who are looking for something different. Since your grandparents are probably not around anymore, let Daniel tell you about the pens, how to use them, and what to do when something goes wrong. He will be bringing pens to show and discuss. He will also provide an estimate of what a pen is worth, so you are welcome to bring your fountain pens. Feel free to bring your friends who might be interested in the topic, too.
