April 24 – Rose Marie Kern, author, writer for aviation publications, national speaker on aviation
Topic: Air Traffic Control: Behind the Scenes and What you Don’t Know IS Scary! Rose Marie Kern has worked in all three divisions of the FAA’s Air Traffic Control, as well as for Lockheed. Over her 34-year career she won three national awards for her work with pilots and aviation computer engineers. She writes monthly columns for seven aviation publications. A member of the FAA Safety team, Rose Marie is a popular speaker for aviation groups nationwide. Her latest book is Stress is Relative, a memoir of her career with the FAA. She also has written Air to Ground, a glimpse into the cold corridor of air traffic, from a historical to current perspective, along with information for all pilots and student pilots.
The Breakfast Club meets at 0730 (and ends at 0900) on the LAST Tuesday of the month at Weck’s Restaurant on Louisiana, a half block south of Montgomery. Your bill is individual, and you just add your tip. There is even a 10 percent senior discount.
