Menu: Your choice and come hungry – large portions!

June 27, 2017 (Tuesday) – John Attwood, Vice President of  Zia Trust, Inc.

The Breakfast Club’s speaker for Tuesday, June 27, had to cancel. In his place, we have John Attwood, Vice President of  Zia Trust, Inc., who will talk to us on some of the newsmakers regarding articles in the ABQ Journal about the non-profit trust company and how it relates to the NM Trust Company Act.  

Zia Trust provides trust administration services to its clients in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces and Phoenix.  In addition to their local presence, they serve clients in 41 additional states. They currently employ 13 trust officers and administer trust and custodial assets worth over 1 Billion dollars.   

John Attwood , a Nationally Certified Guardian (NCG), administers Conservatorships, Special Needs, Medicaid Payback, and Personal Injury Settlement Trusts. A graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Mr. Atwood is a founding board member and past President of the NM Guardianship Association. Past President of the NM Alzheimer’s Association. He is also a member of the Elder Justice Coalition, and both Santa Fe and New Mexico Estate Planning Councils. He is a graduate of the ABA National and Graduate Trust School. He also serves on the Albuquerque Museum, ARCA, Albuquerque Balloon Museum and Senior Citizen Law Office planned giving committees.  John is a frequent speaker on the following topics: Alzheimer’s Disease, Guardian and Conservatorships, Celebrity Estate Plans, and Trustee: Family Member or Professional Trustee.
